Lichee RV + Lichee Dock

This is my first ā€œcomputerā€ sporting a RISC-V core. I’m really excited with this new architecture, as it helds great promises in term of open-sourceness, but also in term of efficiency. It’s also my first SBC that is not in the mainline Linux kernel tree, so installing any distribution is really difficult. The official documentation recommand flashing SDCards with a special tool called PheonixCard, made by Allwinner. Of course the tool does not work on Linux, which makes this really unpleasant to use. For this reason, this SBC sits unused in a drawer somewhere. I had plans to port/build my Gemini server (Agate) for this board, but early work has been stopped because the cryptographic library used in Agate (Ring) was not compiling for the Risc-V architecture. I haven’t tried to build it again, but looking at the Github repository, Ring can now build on Risc-V. I might try my luck again later this year.
