Google Pixel 6

Status: Given to my partner (he then exchanged it for a Pixel 9a)

I acquired the Google Pixel 6 in somewhat of a rush. I was using the OnePlus 5t as a daily driver and I was enjoying it quite much, but my mother had a Nexus 5x that stopped booting. I found the phone used on Facebook Marketplace for cheap, and I figured out it would be an excellent first smartphone for her. Problem is, I wasn't aware of any lingering issues with this phone at first. It came at a surprise when she told me all the issues she had with it! In a quick turn of event, I ended up buying the Pixel 6 and gave the OnePlus 5t to my mother.

First impression

The OnePlus 5t was a light device, quite slim too. I had the black and white version, so there was a coat of paint on the metal back. That always felt less sturdy than plain metal to the touch. When switching to the Pixel 6, the glass back left a positive change over the previous phone. The phone was also a bit heavier. Both of those characteristics made the phone feels more premium, more like a jewelry than a piece of tech.
